I was riding a public transpo yesterday and I not only saw a mother holding a kid in her arms but heard their story as well. Okay, I’m a little guilty for listening but it was hard not to listen when she’s just a foot away from me. Her story is heart-wrenching and today, I wanted to ask a favor from everyone reading this to help me pray for her kid. Her kid who looks barely 2 is suffering from leukemia and they’ve been hopping from one institution to another for financial and medical support. I may not be able to help them much in that department but I reckon I can lift them up in my prayers. And I do believe in the power of prayer, so please join me in praying for the healing of this little cherub. TY
Now for my TT list, I’m thankful…
…for good times spent with Houston. He was home for 4 days and it’s such a blessing.

…for a patient and loving husband.
…for a kid that whispers iloveyou just-because.
…for an awesome God who showed us what true loving is all about.

This is a difficult time for everyone -maybe globally. But more so in this country. A kilo of rice (in our area) costs Php 45 to 50 ($1.07 to 1.2) but I’m glad we still have food during mealtimes.
I’m thankful that we can still buy gasoline for the car, milk and other supplies for my son. I’m really glad that we can still pay for our basic needs and even have extra for few wants.
I’m thankful for a new camera. I’m still reading its manual and learning how to use it.
I’m thankful that my parents are happy and my family is happy.
I’m thankful for God’s love. He’s really a good God. And he loves me despite my weaknesses.

I had a mini-vaca to this place called Boracay. It’s actually a company-sponsored trip and I just feel so blessed to have been able to visit this beautiful place which is at the top of Yahoo Travel list of Best Beaches in 2007. It’s a delightful place to be - definitely a haven for beachcombers. My vaca there was just short - but a sweet and memorable one. I did have a great time (despite missing my son so bad).
So this TT, apart from thanking God for answered prayers and for His blessings to me and my family, I’m going to be thankful for this trip.
“Oh that men would praise the Lord for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the children of men!” - Psalm 107:8
Thank you Lord - for this chance to visit this wonderful place.
For the time to chill and enjoy the beauty of Nature- of your creations.
Thank you Lord - that for the sunset and every sunset that I see, I feel and see Your great love.
And thank you Lord for a safe landing and for a safe and wonderful trip.
Thank you for the peace and contentment in my heart.

It’s been awhile since I posted here and I’m just glad to be able to post now. I’m having a pretty hectic schedule at home and in the office.
I’m just thankful to be alive. For everyone’s good health.
I’m thankful for moments with my son - playing blocks and playdough with him, watching Cars with him, laughing with him, getting mad at him… Among other things, so goes my reason for the hectic home schedule. *grin*
I’m thankful that he’s responding well to his asthma maintenance - he does have it now. It took few days before he stopped fighting when we give it to him but it has greatly helped him manage the frequent attacks.
Everytime we drop by the gas station, it seems the price of gasoline is higher compared to when we last had our tank filled. I complain, sometimes. But still, I’m glad for the blessing to pay for every fuel refill. And also thankful for that we can pay our bills.
I’m glad for a very hardworking husband. His career is on a roll and I’m so happy for him.

This week my father have gone through a couple of medical tests. I am thankful that all of the results are favorable. For awhile there, I was really worried.
We’re currently having trainees in the office. I’m thankful for the chance to teach them, to share knowledge with them - even I am really far from knowledgeable ;-).
Then there’s one trainee who reminded me how blessed I am. I am truly humbled.

I’m thankful for an officemate who constantly makes me laugh. Sometimes, a good laugh is all we need to drive the pressure and stress away.
A week or so ago, I received packages from Sonya and Regina. Thank you so much for these.
I’m thankful that Houston has arrived safely in the country. He’s still a flight aways from home but we are looking forward to spending time with him this weekend.

I followed a link from my WW post at Verb and read someone say that no matter how bad a day is, there is always a bright moment - and it’s only a matter of looking what that is.
Last night, after jumping up and down the bed like a bouncing ball, Matt started panting. And coughing.
I wasn’t happy. Holding him, I could clearly hear the familiar wheezing again.
Then Matt said, “Ubo ko (I’m coughing). Drink medicine, Mama.”
How cool is that. I don’t really need to coax him to drink his medicine.

I’m thankful that I’m alive, awake -busy but enthusiastic.
I’m thankful that my son knows how to say “thank you” even to the cats.
I’m thankful that when he’s not at his best behaviour, he’ll always tell me “I’m sorry.” Sometimes, with a trailing “It’s okay, Mama” - which tell me that making a mess really is okay.
I’m thankful that God is telling me what needs to be improved with myself thru my son.
