Have the doctors tried using a nebulizer instead of inhalers? The nebulizer is gentler, uses mist to get the medicine into his lungs. I found the inhalers weren’t as effective myself.
Also, with using antihistimines, did they find out what he might be allergic to? Allergy testing is much better than it used to be, they test his blood. Food, however, will have to be eliminated one at a time to test for that. Allergies can be as simple as dairy, wheat, or it could be something like additives or food coloring. Or, instead of internal, it could be external, like an allergy to fabrics or detergents or cleaners. You’d be surprised what affects children.
