This is a difficult time for everyone -maybe globally. But more so in this country. A kilo of rice (in our area) costs Php 45 to 50 ($1.07 to 1.2) but I’m glad we still have food during mealtimes.
I’m thankful that we can still buy gasoline for the car, milk and other supplies for my son. I’m really glad that we can still pay for our basic needs and even have extra for few wants.
I’m thankful for a new camera. I’m still reading its manual and learning how to use it.

I’m thankful that my parents are happy and my family is happy.
I’m thankful for God’s love. He’s really a good God. And he loves me despite my weaknesses.

What a great post. We’re also feeling the costs of rice, milk, and gas here too
Indeed the global issues seem to put our own problems into perspective. A great list of things to truly value

Yeah - those dreaded gas-prices - they keep going up by the hour now…the bad thing is that we don’t have a public transportation system here…I am with you - I too am thankful that I can still buy all the necessities in life.
I too have a new camera now - but still need to learn all about it.
Thank you so much for sharing your grateful heart with us.
Be blessed today and always…

You are so right! We should all be thankful we can still afford to buy food and gas and still have money left over for wants. What a wonderful reminder.

why is rice that expensive in your area??? or were you referring to the high-quality ones (dinorado/sinandomeng) kind?
but anyway, rice prices have indeed doubled this year… and that IS a sad thing indeed…
and this reminded me of yesteday, because I was texting my husband and some friends… how really blessed I still am/we still were… because I was at Mercury Drugstore buying prolacta for more breastmilk and xylogel for my son’s teething pain… two things that aren’t really necessary… while the woman in front of me couldn’t afford to buy medicines because she only had some P70, and all her prescriptions cost P130 or so…

Great post. You are right we should be thankful that we have the basic things of life. Food and gasoline are so expensive …
I don’t know how much longer we can keep going with the prices of everything going up up up. I do know that God will see us through the good times and the bad!
Thanks for sharing.
Happy TT!
