Thankful Thursday

thur

I was riding a public transpo yesterday and I not only saw a mother holding a kid in her arms but heard their story as well. Okay, I’m a little guilty for listening but it was hard not to listen when she’s just a foot away from me. Her story is heart-wrenching and today, I wanted to ask a favor from everyone reading this to help me pray for her kid. Her kid who looks barely 2 is suffering from leukemia and they’ve been hopping from one institution to another for financial and medical support. I may not be able to help them much in that department but I reckon I can lift them up in my prayers. And I do believe in the power of prayer, so please join me in praying for the healing of this little cherub. TY

Now for my TT list, I’m thankful…

…for good times spent with Houston. He was home for 4 days and it’s such a blessing.

…for a patient and loving husband.

…for a kid that whispers iloveyou just-because.

…for an awesome God who showed us what true loving is all about.

It seems there are so many people who have tragic stories to tell. We have had so much flooding, here in Indiana. Every night, we see more and more stories of people who have lost everything. If they haven’t lost everything, looters are coming by, trying to take what they can get their hands on. More rain is expected on Friday.

I hate to think what all of this rain is going to do to produce prices. Many farmers have lost their entire crops.

I like your thankful list. :-)

it’s a good thing you overheard them talking… now many people would pray for them… i think in a way we do not only help them but also they help us — they make us realize that despite our complaints and discontentment, we are still lucky compared to others… and therefore we should be thankful for what we have…

by the way, i’ve got a tag for you… just do it when you feel like doing it (it’s not an obligation:))…its a wishlist meme…

    have a blessed weekend!

How sweet of you to lift this family up in prayer. Often times we can simply leave a moment like that and never think of it again. You compassion is wonderful and I look forward to praying for them. Thanks for sharing your TT list. I love the i love you’s too!
